Very happy that the Twins are working to even out the day game problem. Though a friend has offered an alternative explanation . . . The day games are often the last of the series and if they’ve already won the series by winning the first two games, they don’t feel the need to work so hard in the last one (or it’s a Minnesota nice thing against sweeping, which would make the other team feel bad) . . .Haven’t tested out the stats on this one . . . will revisit this theory after consulting the numbers.

Loved hearing Bert talk about what a thrill it is to see the players’ shadows on the field :) Ee-gads, do they really think that Twins fans LIVED in the dome for 28 years and didn’t go to any outdoor game anywhere?? They talk as if there were no opportunities to see outdoor baseball (much less right across the river). As a big fan of Minor League ball at all levels, I hope Twins fans occasionally take their families and friends to see a Minor League game. Among other things, it’s a GREAT way to introduce kids to the game without having to take out a second mortgage . . .
