Soriano is an interesting case. I’m not sure how to explain his 8-9 inning issues (though this year he’s had similar problems in the 6th inning, while hitting well in the 7th inning… so go figure).

Interestingly, his career splits don’t have the same trends. Could it be greenies? Sure. Could also be that he’s getting old.

If the said rumors are true, they won’t be able to make move #1 because Duensing will be gone when Lee arrives . . . that hardly seems like a good thing . . .
Guess we’ll just have to see what happens . . .

On the energy note, I’d love to hear any speculations you have about a certain Cubs’ Left Fielder who seems to be totally useless after the seventh inning. I noticed it years ago. This year even Lou acknowledged the problem. Does the “coffee” wear off after about two hours?

Let me just say this…about that…. blargh and whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy? For 2 months of Cliff Lee? Seriously? How is that in any way shape or form worth it? I will certainly love the Twin’s a little bit less if that actually happens. And that makes me sad
