It was yours truly who mentioned Morneau could be moved to the 60 day DL. Although Matt Fox coming up is out of LF. I am glad to see a surprise, although wouldn’t be happening if last night hadn’t happened. Delaney is a good move. Hope Burnett isn’t the same as he was when he last was here.

millie… within 3 days we’ll know if the baseball gods were smiling or laughing. Of course, you may be right about there being no baseball gods. If you’re right, then all of our efforts to curry their favor on behalf of the Twins has been pointless, but harmless, fun. Ahhhh… but if we are right….! It’s simply a matter of “covering the bases.” (That seems appropriate, no?)

jamar… I’ve been sitting here for quite some time typing out witty, cutting, remarks aimed at you, your beloved Cornhuskers, and your cyber-finger. However, none of them were really witty enough to be up to our standards (or mine anyway… I mean, really, giving me the cyber-finger is the best you can do?). So for now, I’ll let you and you and Big Red off the hook.

Brian also had & recovered from Tommy John surgery after an elbow injury during his sophomore season in college, was out all of the 2004 season and went on to pitch 15 consecutive shutout innings in the Big 12 Baseball Tournament and helped the Huskers reach the 2005 College World Series….:)

And just when was the last time Hawk-lettes were in the CWS? 1972? When I was 12?

I’m all for positive thinking, but as a baseball agnostic (questioning the existence of baseball gods), I would imagine that rather than “smiling down on the Twins”, these deity of the diamond (if they exist) would be more inclined to laugh hysterically when the Twins send Matt Fox and a patched-together bullpen out there to face the Rangers.
