I heard Gardy on Pat Reusse's show today. He said Pavano had a sore neck, but still wanted the ball last night. You don't beat a horse to death coming down the stretch when you've got a 20 length lead. We certainly wouldn't want to unnecessarily risk an injury to a key player and we have a couple of pitchers who have already thrown a bunch of innings.
