looks like you deleted my comment with the actual comments and the link . . . rather than my later comments about the link not being the complete URL . . .

I'll try again . . . because now I am even more concerned that the Twins have given up trying for home field advantage . . . My concerns were heightened by Gardy's comments in the news article entitled: Ailing Twins stars recuperating in Detroit:
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100925&content_id=15076990&notebook_id=15102312&vkey=notebook_min&c_id=min&partnerId=rss_min#15076992

Sounds like "we'll just ease into the post-season" rather than "we still have work to do" is the Twins attitude. Unfortunately, that's not likely to PREPARE the Twins for the post-season.
Anyway, I agree I'd like to forget this series . . . but the Yankees and Tampa Bay continue to play baseball (rather than hospital) . . . I for one don't think this bodes well for our post-season hopes and dreams.

I think the link worked fine, dew.

I think we're all getting a bit concerned about the injuries mounting up right now. I can't really fault Gardy for not pushing guys to play who are bumped and bruised. They should have home field for the first round, as is. After that, you take what you can get, but the most important thing is getting everyone healthy and keeping them that way.

As Babs just posted in the summary, none of us saw enough of the game to write a summary. I saw the first inning and the last half inning. Which had to be the extremes of good and bad for the Twins. I will say that I'm disappointed by the amount of Flores bashing I saw on Twitter after the game. The bases were loaded when Flores came in with nobody out, thanks to Neshek giving up hits and Valencia booting a ground ball that should have been a DP ball. But fans "like" those two guys so everyone beats him up for getting one ground ball and giving up one single. I thought Twins fans were more baseball-savvy than that. Maybe I was wrong. Flores is what he is. journeyman lefty reliever. But he didn't deserve the crap he was getting from people about the game last night, imo.
