Capturing a single player in a song has to be easier than trying to write about a whole team (and its history) . . . not sure whether the appeal of this one isn’t mostly due to the Bruce Springsteen-esque orchestration . . . especially in the bridge . . . but “it’s got a good beat, you could sing along to it” which is more than I can say for the others (which were way to wordy to sing along with) . . .

Yeah this would be my favorite of the group, too. I wasn’t thrilled with the “Twinkies” song, either, but never really considered whether it was better or worse than Leighton’s effort… why judge which, among two songs you don’t like, is worse?

But I do like this one. So far, the only thing I can come up with to criticize about it is that it comes from a musician from Omaha, of all places!

Oh, I like this one, and that is saying a lot, since most of these tribute songs make me cringe.
