Well that sounds uncomfortable, for sure. Though I would think less uncomfortable than when the elbow was disassembled. Fortunately, there's plenty to do in Ft Myers that doesn't involve excessive elbow strain. (I've given up on my hopes that Gardy would notice me in the crowd and call me down to pitch an inning.) I hope your recovery goes well, Kirsten.

None whatsoever. I don't have the all clear to fly, so plans will not be laid in any kind of hurry.
It's not that I don't want to read, it's that I had my elbow put back together recently and have a shorter than usual attention span.

Oh no... pressure... just when I was finally just about able to convince myself nobody reads anything I write here. Damn. I'd better go work some more on my draft of Part 3. Who needs sleep, anyway?

Midway isn't terribly great, and is in fact filled with bleachers. Most of them in the blazing hot sun.

I expect an excellent update on all the fun things there are to do in FL in the next post... (I'm trying to decide if I want to go to spring training)

I'd have to let someone who's actually been to both lately answer that (I've never been to the current Midway Stadium... the last Midway Stadium I saw was the original Midway Stadium), but based on pictures I remember seeing of Midway, I'd say yes... by a long shot. As I recall, Midway is nothing but bleacher seats. Hammond has regular stadium seats in the lower sections and bleacher in the upper sections. Hammond could stand some updating, to be honest, and it's got the "old fashioned" food concourse that runs behind the seating areas so you can't see the game while you're going for food. But overall, it's a nice place to watch a game.

I did find a couple of sites that give you an idea...
Here's Hammond: http://www.baseballpilgrimages.com/spring/leecounty.html

Here's Midway (but I have no idea if this is an accurate depiction of what it currently looks like): http://www.ballparkreviews.com/stpaul/stpaul.htm#
