Among the eight hits he gave up in five innings of work were three doubles and a triple. On the other hand, he didn’t walk anyone. He also got hitters to hit a lot of ground balls, so when hitters didn’t square up against him, he was fine… but they squared up a lot. It just didn’t look to me like he had the velocity he’s reputed to have.
