You are right about the pace of this game Jim. The Red Sox dictated the pace. They forced the Twins to play their "death march" style. And again Twins pitching gives up 7 or 8 walks.

Bedard went to Boston on Deadline Day in a 3-team deal that also involved the Dodgers. Boston sent AA outfielder Chih-Hsien Chiang to Seattle, and somehow the M's convinced LA to send them Trayvon Robinson, as well. The Dodgers got a couple bullpen prospects and a future backup catcher from the Sox.

If you've been watching SportsCenter Top Plays in the last week, you might have seen Robinson steal a homer from Torii Hunter in Anaheim, losing his hat in the stands as he made an acrobatic grab. The next night, he hit his first big league home run (endearingly, he stopped at 2nd base, thinking the ball might be in play, which just showed that he hadn't paused in the box to admire his shot as it bounced off the rockpile beyond the CF wall). He's made a nice first impression, certainly. M's fans are hoping that he might either claim LF next season, or possibly take over in CF if Franklin Gutierrez can't remember where he left his hitting shoes.
