JC, that projected Twins lineup will certainly throw fear into AL pitching. NOT. Is there anyone who can hit a ball out of their shadow? Maybe Willingham but he is going to strike out 150 times in 2012. That's over 25% of the time.
As for Dave St. Peter, I'm getting tired of his glad-handing and being a slappy for the Pohlad's and the Twins organization who paid pennies on the dollar to inherit Target Field. The Twins, the Pohlad's and the Dave St. Peter's are putting millions of dollars in their pockets by telling you that they are going to be an improved team in 2012.

I wouldn't have guessed that Nishioka was the most frequent SS or that Thome got the most work as DH, but I don't know who I WOULD have expected to see in those spots.

I guess we're making similar points. I read/hear people say that just being healthy isn't enough to make the Twins a contender again, but I just don't understand how it COULDN'T do just that. A very productive leadoff hitter and CF along with two former league MVPs having healthy seasons would make ANY team better, wouldn't they?

Of course, I still want some pitching upgrades. :)

I think that having everyone healthy will be a big upgrade.

What you posted was the opening day lineup. Went to baseball reference and looked at the players who played the most in particular position and created a most-used line up. It looks like this (not a batting order : )

C Butera
1B Cuddyer
2B Casilla
SS Nishioka
3B Valencia
CF Revere
LF Young
RF Kubel
DH Thome

I think that the 2012 Twins will be better than that... Again if anyone healthy.
