I’m worried that about 70% of it seems to be coming from Joe Benson and Mike Hollimon. But I do agree with TT that their contributions now matter for the rest of the season even if they (most likely) don’t lead to making the big club out of camp. It’s fun to watch them play for the opportunity to help out if, due to injury or assbats, someone can’t answer the call throughout the year.

I agree the bullpen situation is the most intriguing right now. The next two weeks will be very interesting to watch as the guys battling for roster spots get more opportunities against stronger players. It’s one thing to play well against mostly other minor leaguers and veterans just working on getting ready. It is quite another to be facing the best whether on the mound or at the plate.

By the way, I’m looking forward to reading your first-hand reports from Ft. Myers.

You might have played yourself out of a job at this point, but whatever good impressions you made won’t matter much. The exceptions to that are people fighting for spots on the AAA team. They need to show they can contribute if they are needed during the season. Holliman is a good example of that.
