Bartlett and a season of Guzman, even Nick Punto and a splattering of Hardy between DL trips, but no one that ever really seemed like the Twins' shortstop. The season is young, and Dozier is hitting the laces off the ball in AAA, so I'm still dreaming. Just no more nightmares in Baltimore.

I just want to note that Jason Bartlett was also a valuable SS for a few seasons, although underrated by Gardy and the Twins org--and finally replacing Juan Castro with him in 2006 was one of a few key midseason changes that helped turn that team around. Looking at this current team, I get the feeling like big changes still need to be made. Whether Dozier can be the new Bartlett, or Hendriks might be the new Liriano (rookie edition), or Parmelee might make a leap like Morneau did in '06... well, we will see.

Btw, when Gardy watches Hardy hit against the Twins, I wonder what he thinks to himself.
