I've heard a few possible reasons, darin, but the one that seems the most credible, at least with regard to why they don't place their Class A affiliate there, is that St Paul is too far away from the rest of the teams in the Midwest League, where teams still travel by bus. There would be schedule issues because trips over a certain distance require, by rule, a day off for the team and a St. Paul team would have a lot of those trips. The only way a MWL team might someday end up in St. Paul would be if other teams also moved in to the general area (think Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea, Red Wing, LaCrosse WI). It's probably not real likely at this point.
