Complaining about the Snappers doing a Fielder promotion is really unfair if you actually look at the great lengths the staff in Beloit has done to promote their relationship with the Twins.

The fact is that they've already done a bobblehead or similar promotion for almost every Twins player or top prospect that's come through Beloit. There was a Sano promotion earlier this year, and Slowey, Garza, Revere, Hicks, even Brian Duensing has had a Snappers bobblehead at this point!

Its certainly also not unique to Beloit either, since I have a Justin Morneau bobblehead from the Quad Cities, that they gave out several years after they kicked the Twins out of town.

Thry, you and I have discussed this before, so we both know I don't have the philosophical problem you do with affiliates making a buck any way they can. In this particular case, however, I have absolutely no problem with Beloit having a Fielder promotion. Prince was a Snapper when Beloit was a Brewers affiliate and still holds a number of franchise records in Beloit.

Minor league clubs each have their own histories, independent of whoever might have the current PDC. I guarantee Mike Trout will be considered part of the Cedar Rapids Baseball Club family forever, regardless of future affiliations, just as Ted Simmons, Chili Davis and Eric Davis are. The fact that those players came through when the local team was affiliated with the Cardinals, Giants and Reds, respectively, doesn't matter a bit to those of us who have followed the team for decades.

This is fun. Thanks for the post and the pictures. I've heard that the stadium was a dump, but, darn, I've seen better beer league ballparks than that. That entrance is so Parks and Rec...

Prince Fielder, huh? Glad that another Twins' affiliate is respecting the parent club enough to give away bobbleheads of a star player of their MLB competition.

Nice...

Good riddance.
