One “former Twin” (who isn’t really a former Twin) we didn’t include is former GM Bill Smith.

Bill has taken over other duties in the front office and, in particular, is the Twins front man on the project to remodel their Spring Training complex and stadium in Ft. Myers. On that front, Bill’s apparently run in to a bit of a snag. Some of the Lee County bigwigs aren’t so sure they are prepared to agree with the Twins’ renovation requests.

On another note, this thing inspired me to look into what some of the ’87 Twins are doing these days… Because that was arguably probably the most pivotal team in the franchise, since they moved to MN. And I am not talking about the Pucketts and the Niekros or the Hrbeks and Bushes and Blylevens and Violas and Gaettis. We know what they are up to or not. Would be fun to dig into the obscure players like Les Straker and Keith Atherton, but this is an off-season project

I know! I do know that sometimes it is hard to see rib fractures on x-ray but come on.. wish I knew how he had managed to break the rib though.
