Depth at middle infield is nil. Unless the Twins have a plan for some blockbuster pickup of Marco Scutaro (at the top dollar he’s ever going to command), I don’t know what the plan is.

So now, the shopping list is:

1. Pitching
2. More pitching
3. Middle infield
4. A loaf of bread
5. A quart of milk

Only two of those things can be gotten at Cub for a discount…
