I'm hoping Buxton starts the season in CR, but I'm just not betting on it. Even without Span and Revere, the Twins have a lot of outfielders jamming things up at the levels above Cedar Rapids. I do think it will come down to what the Twins do with Williams. I could see them releasing a guy or two during/after spring training, I guess, which might clear a spot for Williams in Ft. Myers and make room for Buxton in CR.

Buxton will have to start at A-ball. Otherwise, your choice is back at the GCL, as E-town is a short season league. The only reasons to play at GCL is that you do play against people your own age, and can advance up to High-A for a week or so if an injury happens there. The main reason to start with Kernels is to get into the game, the bus rides, small town life...and you will compete against a higher quality player, then back to Florida at seasons end to work in more state-of-the-art facilities, before starting the next season in New Brit.
