GameChat – Twins @ Rays, 12:05pm, FSN+
ooops! Almost forgot that today was a televised game and that people might want to chat about it! Here you go! Sadly, they don’t have the lineups on the website yet but I’ll add them as soon as I have access.
Good News: Added the rosters that finally went up in time for first pitch.
Bad News: Comcast seems to be having a signal mixup for FSN+. If you have Dish, you’re doing just fine to see the game. If you have cable, apparently you’re expected to Zumba.

Twins Daily Viewing Party! THIS SATURDAY!
For those local to the MN Twin Cities area, our first viewing party of the year is coming up this weekend and it’s not even the regular season yet! If you don’t follow Twins Daily (yeah, you probably should) you may have missed the announcement but they are the hosts for the fun this weekend. You should definitely check it out!
You are guaranteed to have great company and if I can finish my morning commitment, I really want to check out that new location, 612 Brew! Hope to see you there!
Knuckleballs Fantasy Baseball League!
Hey kids!
We have ONE SPOT to offer to join the Knuckleballs crew and friends. It’s a FREE small league on Yahoo and we like it that way.
We will be “auto-drafting” (the computer does it for everyone based on pre-programmed rankings) so you can be a complete beginner and still have a great environment to learn and have a little fun with other fans all over the country.
The draft is set for Saturday night so I want to fill the spot quickly – first come, first served! Send me your email and I will send you an invite to the group!
Happily, that didn’t take long at all! We have a full complement of teams now! Let’s hope we all have a good season!

MORE BASEBALL ON TV!! Btw, if you don’t know (I didn’t before the last game), FSN+ is not the same as FSN which will likely be showing hockey tonight. You will likely find the broadcast on either Cable Channel 13 or 694 (HD). At least that is what channels they are in my area, you might have to look around a bit if that isn’t right for you.
Why is it that it’s always the Red Sox though this spring? Still, better than not broadcasting since KTWIN doesn’t actually broadcast to my house in North St. Paul so I’ll take it! (and wow, I’m a little rusty on the gamechat setup)

Well.. it’s always fun to watch baseball? I sure do prefer when we win but no, it really was great to get to watch baseball again. Maybe next time I will get to see somewhere other than Jet Blue park against the Red Sox.

News Alert: Is the Universe Really That Obliging??
You may have heard the announcement already – it came out last night.
Our hometown boy, THE Minnesota Twin – yeah, you know who I mean, the newlywed Joe Mauer, announced that he and his new wife, Maddie, are expecting. Congratulations are in order, of course. But here’s the kicker: they are having TWINS.
No, seriously. That girl has some major league talent of her own to get this going – practically a storybook setup. (one that you would find ridiculous, unbelievable and too much of a stretch to make it good writing.) Good for them! (of course, it’s good for them but not exactly something on my wish list – twins are twice the work of one, I hear 🙂 )
Of course, this kind of makes me wonder what this team puts in the water… I can’t list all the twin births that have occurred in families of this team but my impression is that it’s far above the actual average. Could this be a symptom of having Twins on the mind too much?? [starts thinking very hard: singles, singles, singles..]
