2011 All-Star Game Viewing Party

We will put up a gamechat for people who want to watch the All-Star Game tonight. But if you are in the Twin Cities and want to go a step further in your fan participation, Michael Cuddyer is hosting a get-together. It sounds like a great way to watch Michael in his first All-Star appearance! To be honest, I don’t know what position he’ll actually play – but I’m sure he’s used to having a manager enjoy his flexibility!

St. Paul Saints Season Opener!!

Since the Twins are off today, all you local folk are free to participate in the Saints regular season opener tonight! If you have never attended a Saints game, you’re in for a pleasant surprise – it’s a lot different than MLB baseball games. The St. Paul Saints are all about the fan experience in addition to a great time watching baseball. It’s an affordable evening for the whole family and a lot of fun.

ALSO! In addition to being Military Appreciation Night, remember tonight is Thirsty Thursday presented by Old Chicago. Enjoy $1 Beer inside the ballpark at Twig’s Place and at the Hardball Beer Shack. Stop by Old Chicago in Roseville after the game.

If you can’t make the opener, you should check out the activities during the the weekend homestand – fireworks on Friday night, yet another of the Saints hilarious give-aways on Saturday (a whoopie cushion celebrating HHH Metrodome’s inflation day and subsequent deflation), and Dog Days at the ballpark on Sunday.  Y’all should really check it out!

Off-day baseball fix… MN Saints!

The Twins are off again today but if all you Minnesota folk need a bit of hometown baseball, the St. Paul Saints have their first game of the season (exhibition) tonight!

The game starts at 7:05 vs the Winnipeg Golden eyes. AND because it’s Thirsty Thursday, Old Chicago is sponsoring $1 beer! Sounds like a good way to warm up when it’s a little on the cool side.

Tomorrow they have a day game starting at 10:35 am.  School House Rock will be helping to celebrate Education Day in Midway so come with the kids if you can get away!

Tickets for both games are still available AND affordable! The kind of baseball you can actually afford to take your whole family to and it’s always a good time.

The season officially starts next week on May 12th. I hope you will have the opportunity to catch a game or two!
