GameChat – Rays @ Twins #4, 1:10, Happy 4th of July!, WFTC29 & am1500

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Independance Day and has had time to spend with friends and family to celebrate the holiday. I’m quickly inbetween the military appreciation services I did this morning and a barbeque this afternoon. So, I’m not going to be in the chat in the beginning but I hope that some of you may have the time in your day to watch a little baseball!

This afternoon just didn’t quite pan out the way I wanted.  After a very full weekend where I haven’t even gotten the chance to see much baseball, I looked forward to finally getting an opportunity to sit down and watch the later innings of today’s game.  Funny how that didn’t quite turn out to be the opportunity I thought it would be – I fell asleep!!  Of course, the Twins also took that opportunity to lose their first series ever in Target Field.  I’m sure that also wasn’t quite how they had anticipated this weekend going.

I think we are all going to really need the off-day tomorrow.

  1. The first series loss at Target field was against the Yankees back in May.

  2. hmmm… that rings a bell actually. Guess I have to take issue with the postgame folk who said it and I repeated it. LOL It’s never good to fall asleep during a baseball game – you never REALLY know what happened while you were sleeping and it leaves you all out of sorts.

  3. it was the first homestand loss. At least that’s what Dick and Bert said. Repeatedly. 🙂

  4. They did Jamar – but it does cause a little confusion to have both teams on the field in the same hat – especially since it was one that didn’t really standout all that much. We only have one more weekend to see these hats – Veterans Day – and then we’ll have a different version next year.
