Written by This is pretty amazing and scary goings on but I know you all will be glad to hear that Wilson Ramos has been rescued and is in good health. I simply can’t imagine what he must be feeling right now and I’m sure that mentally, it’s going to take awhile for him to fully recover but I wish him the best. I’m glad to know that he’s back with his family and I hope he can put this experience behind him.
As long as the athletes are seen as “the ones who make it” out of the regular life in these countries, I’m sure they and their families will always be targets. It really does change the dynamic of what it means to be a professional baseball player from what we know here in the US.
